This is our introductory tasting. It is dedicated to those who wants an overall understanding of the different grape varieties that are grown in Langhe. It will take you through the most common grapes but also local and less known. Here you will also get a introductory in the Italian wine classifications, such as (Protected geographical denomination), DOCG, DOC and IGP.

This is the oldest indigenous red-grape of Piedmont and one of the noblest and most prestigious in Italy. The Nebbiolo grapes produces strong powerful wines, rich in alcohol, that express their characteristics after a period of ageing. From the cultivation of Nebbiolo, Piedmont produces some of its greatest red wines, the pride of the region.

I have worked in the restaurant business my entire life with a short break working for the military. I took my sommelier degree at the Restaurant accademy in 2013 in Stockholm, Sweden. There I also took my Wine and Spirit Educational Trust degree. I’m now attending the Wine and Spirit Educational Trust Diploma. I will take my degree i 2017.
During my studies I discovered my interest for sommelier competitions. In 2013 I took the Freestyle Sommelier award in Sweden and Lily Bollinger award – Best female sommelier of the year in Sweden. I also took a second place in the Swedish championship in blind tasting in 2014.
My big interest for wine brought my to one of the most important wine regions in italy. I currently work and live in Barolo in Piedmont. I work as a Hospitality manager and Sommelier for one of the greater wineries here.

I spent many nights cooking with my mum and sharing a bottle of wine with my grandfather. In 2011 I took my degree in Gastronomic science at the University of Parma, Italy. When finished I continued my studies and took a Master in Marketing of local Italian food and wine, in 2012. During my studies I had the opportunity to have an internship at one of the best Italian restaurants Piazza Duomo ***Michelin, in Alba. There I have spent the last three years working as a Head waiter and assistant restaurant manager.
We would now like to share our knowledge and help others discovery this beautiful wine country, Italy.
